About a week ago, we got to go up to my cousin, James', wedding and open house in Salt Lake. Above is James and his wife Amanda.

After the wedding, we were waiting for the bride and groom to come out of the temple. Wyatt, Dusty, and Kaylee found a slide to play on in the meantime.

Adia(Angelica's) giving one of her wide open smiles at the open house.

Sydnie(Charity's) was on the swing the whole time. The open house was held in Uncle Tom and Aunt Marjean's HUGE backyard. I wish I was smarter and would've thought to take a picture of everything. It was so fun to see the May side of the family. Between the wedding and open house, there was some time to visit as we helped set things up and prepare the food. All of us cousins were really close growing up, and as we grow older, these get-togethers are more appreciated.

Of course, the kids found an even bigger slide in that backyard, and it occupied them the whole time.

Camping Trip

Every year for Memorial Day weekend we load up and head down to the Arizona Strip where my mother grew up. Mt. Trumbull is mostly owned by the Bundy family, and that is where we hold our reunions. We always have so much fun. A couple of my sisters couldn't make it out this year. We missed them, but had fun nonetheless. Above is Wyatt on a swing. We'd go over and push him, and he would have the time of his life. When it stopped swinging, he would just wait for someone to come and push him again. It was cute.

Relaxing in the cabin.

Houston and Peyton (Daisie's boys) playing the quiet game around the fire.

All the guys going for a ride, even Wyatt. Ross and Neil got a little lost. The trip ended up lasting about seven hours. Ross had never been so saddle soar. I'm just glad Wyatt held up. He loves riding "dad's bike".

Misty having a little freedom. There were very few places I'd let her down, even though she ended up pretty dirty at the end of the day. I'm paying for it now, though. She wants me to hold her all the time.

Haha! Talk about DIRTY!! I think he found a cup or a small bucket and just dumped it on his head, like he does with water in the tub.

This picture didn't turn out so well, but this is my love packing up to go home. He does so much to make this an enjoyable trip for us every year. I'm so glad that he loves going out to the ranch as much as I do. I love you honey!!

Good Job!

This is just on of those posts for my memory's sake.
Lately, Wyatt has been wanting to do more things on his own. Open and close doors, put on his hat, brush his own teeth, which I of course, have to really help with. He's really become more independent lately. He made me laugh the other day, when we decided to drive to Grandma's house. Ross had the truck which had his car seat in it, so I had him sit up front so I could keep him under control. Plus, it's not that far, so I put him in the front and closed the door. By the time I had walked around to the driver's side, he'd found the keys in the console and had them held out to give to me. This was our conversation.

Wyatt: Here, mom.
Me: Thank you, Wyatt.
Wyatt: Y'Welcome! (pointing to the ignition) Right there, mom.
Me: Ok (putting the key in and turning it on)
Wyatt: Good Job!

It made me laugh, and it was one of those moments that made me even happier to be a mother.

Nine Months Old!

Wow! Misty is going to be one before I know it. Time definitely flies with the second child. And boy is she keeping up! Every day she is learning something new. She pulls herself up to furniture now, and just today started taking steps while holding on. She waves bye and claps her hands. She loves crackers and books, and also finds interest in big brother's movies for longer than you would expect. Misty also loves to torment her brother by splashing him in the tub. They play so well together otherwise. We have this toy phone that is on wheels and you can pull it by a cord and it will follow you. Wyatt does that in our house and Misty just follows as fast as she can, laughing and excited to maybe get it. Misty is a good sleeper, and up until now, would only go to sleep if we swaddled her really tight. She has been the perfect addition to our family with her vivacious spirit and sweet smile. If she's tired, she loves to snuggle which everyone, especially daddy, enjoys. We love our little girl and can't imagine life without her.

Easter

We had a fun Easter! Felicia brought her kids over and we colored eggs. It was a first time for all of them, and they really enjoyed it. We weren't sure how much the little attention spans would handle, so we only colored six.

Then they decorated with Kung Fu Panda stickers and egg holders.

Dusty Kaylee Wyatt. Misty was napping:)

Then we hid them in the back yard along with some plastic, candy-filled ones.

They had so much fun finding them. I would point one out for Wyatt, and all three children would go after it. They wanted to keep finding them after they were already found. I remember when I was young, I'd want someone to hide them all over again so we could keep hunting. Thanks Felicia for bringing your kids over and making some memories. I'm so glad they had a fun time.

Little John Deere Man!

Misty didn't get to hunt for easter eggs, but she got to wear her new Eater dress.

Growing up, my mom would sew each of us (8) girls Easter dresses. I always felt so special. Felicia, Angelica and I wanted to start that tradition with our girls, so we all took on the challenge of sewing our daughters Easter dresses. My mom helped me every step of the way, but I did sew everything, except the zipper. We'd altered the pattern a lot, and my mom even had trouble with it. So I'm glad she offered to do it for me. Thanks mom!
They were all a success and fit the girls perfectly!

Such sweet precious girls!

Misty's Revenge

Misty loves the bath. It's too bad I always have to hurry and bathe her and get her out. This is why:

Luckily she gets a bath by herself every once in a while by herself so she can splash away! I love it that she has this huge grin, having the time of her life, while Wyatt is not so much.

Mimicking Mommy

I shouldn't post this, because everyone will know what a mean mom I am. But it gave me a little chuckle, so I thought I'd keep a record of it. Yesterday, I was doing the dishes while Wyatt ate his lunch. He wasn't talking to anyone in particular, but he was saying, "Hear me? Stop! Hear me? Stop!"; because mom says, "Do you hear me? Stop it!" Then later on, Misty had a disc that went to his viewfinder. I told him to take it away from her so she wouldn't chew it up. He took it away and said, "No, Misty, spank a bum!" I had to explain to him that only mom and dad give spankings, which we really don't do very often. I guess we will really have to be careful what we say from now on.
