We had a fun Easter! Felicia brought her kids over and we colored eggs. It was a first time for all of them, and they really enjoyed it. We weren't sure how much the little attention spans would handle, so we only colored six.
Then they decorated with Kung Fu Panda stickers and egg holders.

Then we hid them in the back yard along with some plastic, candy-filled ones.
They had so much fun finding them. I would point one out for Wyatt, and all three children would go after it. They wanted to keep finding them after they were already found. I remember when I was young, I'd want someone to hide them all over again so we could keep hunting. Thanks Felicia for bringing your kids over and making some memories. I'm so glad they had a fun time.

Misty didn't get to hunt for easter eggs, but she got to wear her new Eater dress.
Growing up, my mom would sew each of us (8) girls Easter dresses. I always felt so special. Felicia, Angelica and I wanted to start that tradition with our girls, so we all took on the challenge of sewing our daughters Easter dresses. My mom helped me every step of the way, but I did sew everything, except the zipper. We'd altered the pattern a lot, and my mom even had trouble with it. So I'm glad she offered to do it for me. Thanks mom!
They were all a success and fit the girls perfectly!

I love Wyatt's bucket. Laynee had an easter egg hunt last night and she would pick up the egg, take the sticker off and put it on her shirt, then throw the egg into her bucket and crack it. It was a good time. I wish I lived closer then we could just hang out while the guys were gone. But Grant will be home tomorrow afternoon because he has to take his final for school.

GOOD JOB on the dress! What a fun tradition to have. My mom used to make our Easter dresses as well but, I don't enjoy sewing clothes so I will stick to getting them from the store. Now if you give me a quilt to sew than that's another story. Too bad Easter isn't all about quilts. lol

We had a blast, it was a perfect Easter for the kids! You really did do a good job on the dress, and you might be glad you let mom do the zipper, I had to pick and redo Kaylee's zipper 5 times. It was so adorable on her! Oh and thanks for inviting us over to do the Easter egg hunt!
